Frequently Asked Questions by Our Customers
Can I take your product "Beef Liver" during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
In short, yes. Many expectant mothers are warned against consuming liver during pregnancy due to excessive vitamin A intake. However, this warning applies to the 1st trimester; in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters, it is actually recommended to increase vitamin A intake. If you stick to the recommended daily dose of 3 grams per day, you will consume an average of 0.5 mg of vitamin A daily, which is much less than the supposedly dangerous dose.
According to the "Reference Values for Nutrient Intake (DACH)" published by the Society for Nutrition, from the 4th month of pregnancy, the recommended daily dose can be doubled, and during breastfeeding, when vitamin A requirements are highest, it can even be tripled to reach the recommended intake of 1.5 mg/day.
Among other things, beef liver is a good source of folate, which is also important for proper fetal development.
We recommend discussing any changes in your diet with your doctor, who will individually assess your condition and needs.
