What is Beef Tallow?
It is a stable saturated fat that is chemically very similar to the sebum produced by our own skin. It is a more effective moisturizer than seed and nut oils, which are high in unstable and easily oxidized PUFAs (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids). It keeps the skin hydrated, does not clog pores, helps restore the skin barrier, and has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects.
Tallow is valued for its high content of fatty acids such as Palmitic, Oleic, and Stearic acids, which play a key role in skincare.
Palmitic Acid
